COCO ARAMAKI / PHOTOGRAPHER

Capitalizing on her background in photojournalism, Coco brings a natural and emotional style to her photography.
Towards the beginning of her career, Coco was recognized by the NPPA's Women in Photography and by the Eddie Adams Workshop for capturing the stories of women affected by drug violence along the US-Mexico border. When newspaper outlets began to close their doors, she moved to NYC to assist fashion photographers. Since then Coco has crossed into the world of advertising photography and has developed her own unique hybrid style of image making that blends photojournalistic storytelling with the experience and understanding of the fashion world.

As a Director of First Impressions, I gather threads directly from the artists’ hands and weave cohesive narratives across the Instagram platform. My job is to create relationships with companies we believe in so we can hopefully make beautiful imagery together. Storytelling is a collaboration.
