If you could choose success in another career, what would it be? A professional ping pong player.
Any advice for your previous boss? It’s helpful to let people know what you don’t want but it’s imperative to be able to communicate and articulate to people what you do want.
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time? If I’m at home, I’d probably be in my garden. If I’m on the road, I’d probably call a friend or family member to go check on my garden.
What can make and break a successful photo shoot? Make? Adaptability and humor. Break? Entitlement and indecisiveness.
What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life? “Circle of Life” from the Lion King, “You Shook Me All Night Long” by ACDC, “When Doves Cry” by Prince, and Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” (first movement).
The best part of waking up is? Opening my eyes and looking out the window to see what the light looks like outside.
What is the most important lesson you learned while being a photo assistant? How I was going to treat my assistants and crew if given the luxury to have them.
Share a favorite saying that you picked up during your travels. “You can believe in Allah, but still tie up your camel.”
What is a peculiar talent of yours? Splitting a can of cat food perfectly in half. No favorites here.
How would your best friend describe you? Selfish yet loyal.
Describe the color yellow to somebody who is blind. People often say they don’t like this color but we naturally gravitate to it. I think it’s avoided because there are not many colors strong enough to stand beside it. Yet without it we would not be able to fully appreciate the sky or the sea.
What advice would you give to your 21 year old former self? Never go 97 mph driving thru Texas, putting down roots is just as important as wandering free, and you will always be loved.
